Trooply.AI — the AI practice of Ecarter · live AI in production

AI development services.

Ecarter is an AI development company that ships working software, not slideware. Through our Trooply.AI practice we build private LLMs, RAG chatbots, AI agents, computer vision and document intelligence — self-hosted on GPU infrastructure, so your data never leaves your servers.

Proof, not promises

Our flagship product, Trooply Search — visual product search on CLIP + Qdrant — runs live at trooply.ai. The same engineering goes into your project.

AI solutions & services

Every AI capability, under one roof.

Pick the solution you need — each one is a dedicated practice with live reference systems.

LLM development

Private, self-hosted large language models trained on your data — fine-tuning, RAG pipelines and GPU deployment with zero third-party data exposure.

The practice

What is AI development?

AI development is the practice of building software around machine-learning models — large language models, vision models and speech models — so they do real work that previously needed human judgment: answering customers, reading invoices and prescriptions, finding products from a photo, running back-office workflows. In 2026 it almost never means training a foundation model from scratch. It means engineering around proven models: grounding them in your business data with retrieval (RAG), integrating them with your store, ERP and helpdesk, deploying them on GPU infrastructure you control, and wrapping them in evaluation, guardrails and monitoring so they stay accurate in production. A typical AI development project moves from scoped use-case to working prototype in two to four weeks, and to production in six to twelve.

Why it works

What makes our AI development different?

Most AI agencies demo well and deploy never. We took the opposite route: we built and launched our own AI product first — Trooply Search, CLIP-based visual product search running on our own GPU infrastructure — alongside the internal RAG, transcription and translation systems that power our client work. When we propose an architecture for your project, it is one we already operate in production.

The second difference is privacy by architecture. Everything we build can run self-hosted — open models (Llama-family via Ollama), your servers or ours, your data never training a third-party model. For businesses in pharma, finance, legal and B2B commerce, this is usually the difference between an AI project that clears compliance and one that dies in review.

Third: we are a commerce and ERP engineering company. AI that cannot reach your orders, catalog, tickets and customers is a toy. Ours plugs into CS-Cart, Magento, Shopify and custom systems because that integration work is what we have done for 1,000+ projects.

Process

From use-case to production in weeks.

1 · Use-case scoping

We identify where AI actually pays back in your workflow — and tell you plainly where it will not.

2 · Proof of value

A working prototype on your real data in 2–4 weeks — not a slide deck about one.

3 · Production build

Hardened, integrated, monitored — deployed on your infrastructure or our GPU servers.

4 · Operate & improve

Model updates, evaluation, cost tuning and SLA-backed support as usage grows.

FAQ

AI development questions.

What does an AI development company do?

An AI development company designs, builds and operates AI-powered software: large language model applications, chatbots, AI agents, computer vision, OCR and machine-learning pipelines — integrated with your existing systems. Ecarter delivers this through its Trooply.AI practice, with its flagship product, Trooply Search, live in production.

How much does AI development cost?

A scoped proof of value typically starts around $3,000–$8,000; production systems run from $10,000 up depending on integrations and scale. Self-hosting on open models often makes running costs dramatically lower than per-token API pricing at volume. Every engagement starts with a fixed-quote scoping.

Can our data stay private?

Yes — that is our default architecture. Open models running on your servers or our GPU infrastructure, with your documents indexed locally. Nothing is sent to third-party AI providers unless you explicitly choose a hosted model.

Do you build with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs or open models?

Both — the right tool per use-case. Hosted frontier models where quality demands it; self-hosted open models (Llama family, Whisper, CLIP) where privacy, cost or latency wins. We run both stacks in production and will show you the trade-offs on your actual data.

How long does an AI project take?

Prototype on your data: 2–4 weeks. Production deployment: 6–12 weeks for most chatbot, OCR and search projects. Complex agentic systems run longer — we phase them so value ships early.

Have an AI use-case in mind?

Tell us the workflow. We will scope a proof of value on your real data — and tell you honestly if AI is not the right tool.
